Ensembles

Custom Music represents the very best in classical ensembles in North Carolina and South Carolina for wedding ceremonies and receptions as well as funerals and formal gatherings that require a background of smart listening music. We have excellent string and woodwind groups that come in sizes ranging from duos to quartets. And our brass ensembles are second to none. Each of these groups can include some pop and more contemporary sounds as desired. In addition, the strings and woodwinds can intermix with each other or perform with a harp or piano as needed.

Carolina Strings

Carolina Strings is one of the finest ensembles in the Carolinas. It is composed of full time professional musicians, each of whom is a member of the Charlotte Symphony. While it normally functions as a quartet, it also works as a trio.

 

Having delighted audiences with a variety of music since it was first organized in 1982, this unit continues to perform for a wide variety of events, including wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate affairs and house parties, to name a few.

 

With the exceptional talent of its members along with its special attention to detail, the Carolina Strings ensemble always adds the perfect touch to any special occasion.

Emerald City Brass

The Emerald City Brass originated in Greenwood SC and adopted the city’s nickname, Emerald City, as its own. It includes a versatile group of musicians who have performed for the Biltmore House Christmas Candlelight Tour and the Charleston Christmas Tour of Homes. Along with wedding ceremonies and receptions, this group also performs for recitals, concerts and church services.

 

All the members of Emerald City Brass have music degrees and teach in public education, higher education or privately. With this background, the group is well equipped to conduct master classes for high schools, colleges/universities and community fine art events. It also designs programs to meet the needs of various ages within the public school system.

 

In addition to performing as part of the Emerald City Brass, each member also plays professionally in organizations such as symphonies, orchestras and jazz groups. Individually, they have performed throughout the United States and Europe.

 

With its seasoning, adaptability and exceptional musical talent, the Emerald City Brass will always turn your special occasion into an extraordinary experience.

Silverwood

Styles: Pop, Beach, Country, Standards, Rock ‘n Roll, Ballads

 

Silverwood is a flute ensemble that offers the option of two to four pieces. Organized in Charlotte, NC by flutist JoAnne Evans, this unit offers a diverse repertoire. For wedding ceremonies, receptions and other special occasions Joanne also offers the option of two flutes and a cello.

 

With its extensive songlist and exceptional musicians, Silverwood represents an attractive and unique alternative for a wide variety of engagements that require light and elegant music.
